Rosier Racing rebuild Terms and Conditions

Labour - All labour performed by Rosier Racing is guaranteed for 10,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. Within this time frame, if another firm works on a part of the vehicle covered by this guarantee (except for an MOT) then it will be deemed null and void.

Parts - All uprated parts supplied by Rosier Racing will have the same 10,000 mile or 1 year guarantee. Any parts supplied to Rosier Racing by an external company will come with any manufacturer’s warranty provided by the supplier. If you are unsure about any part warranty please get in contact with Rosier Racing.

Gaskets and seals are guaranteed for 10,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. Any seal or gasket failure has to be deemed as ‘significant’ by Rosier Racing to be accepted as a failure. Rosier Racing’s opinion on this is final.

Genuine dealer parts are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. If the dealer deems the part to not be at fault, the labour and the part cost is not guaranteed.

However, only uprated IMS bearings supplied by Rosier Racing will be guaranteed. Using genuine parts instead will come with no guarantee as these are known to be commonly faulty.

This guarantee does not extend to customer parts that are re-used, for example a cylinder block that does not have new liners fitted and instead uses the original cast cylinder. If the cylinder cracks at a future date, this is deemed as a manufacturer defect and cannot be covered by our labour or part guarantee. This extends to items such as ancillaries, cylinder head components, castings, guides, seats etc.

General terms - For a component or labour to be deemed as faulty, it must be the workmanship or the part itself at fault. If damage is caused by incompetence, foreign objects or as a result of other component failure, the guarantee is null and void. All motorsport/track use immediately invalidates the guarantee.

Any claim must be brought to Rosier Racing’s attention first and foremost. If the claim is taken elsewhere before notifying Rosier Racing, this guarantee is null and void. Likewise Rosier Racing has to deem there to be a fault present for a claim to be valid. Rosier Racing’s opinion on this is final.

In older engines, over time, material deteriorates, moves and corrodes. Rosier Racing will use years of experience and knowledge to ensure that everything seals. If minor machining is required on mating faces this will be performed. On rare occasions, despite best efforts, the aging process can cause minor weeps from mating faces. Rosier Racing will try every reasonable means to remedy this. However, sometimes the only way to fix this issue is to replace with new components - if the customer declines this advice and the weep/leak persists, Rosier Racing cannot be held responsible.

During the build process, Rosier Racing may recommend that parts are replaced if they are showing signs of wear or aging. Please note that if the customer declines this recommendation, any damage caused as a result of these parts consequently failing will invalidate any other guarantees on that engine/vehicle supplied by Rosier Racing and the work undertaken.

It is common for a single cylinder to be damaged and the others to look ‘fine’. In this case, Rosier Racing will always recommend replacing ALL cylinders. Whether the customer chooses a cast iron liner solution or a plated aluminium liner replacement, if the customer decides not to repair ALL cylinders then no guarantee can be provided. Due to the nature of machining and material differences, replacing just one cylinder nearly always eventually results in further engine damage.

If the engine is being installed by a company other than Rosier Racing, proof of mileage on installation must be provided for our guarantee to be valid. Faults caused by incorrect installation of the engine will invalidate any guarantees provided by Rosier Racing - please ensure that the engine is fitted by a competent mechanic. Amongst other good practices, the coolant system must be correctly bled, the correct quantity of oil must be put in the vehicle and the engine must be brought up to running temperature before use. Special attention should be paid to debris in the case of a previous engine failure. For example, any vehicle with an oil cooler should have both the cooler and any related piping replaced in the event that they cannot be thoroughly cleaned prior to the installation of the newly rebuilt engine. Special attention should also be paid to the inlet and exhaust systems in case of any debris.

Damage caused by failure to service and properly maintain your vehicle will invalidate any guarantees provided by Rosier Racing.
